| Shastri to FC provide additional funds to J&K | | |

Jammu, Dec 26: President of the National Mazdoor Conference Subash Shastri has appealed the chairman of the 13th finance commission to provide additional funds for J&K in its award for extending full benefit of 6th pay commission to state government employees in one go.
In a memorandum sent to Dr. Vijay Kelkar Shastri said that the award it is schedule to be awarded by December 31, 2009 by the commission should have this provision to enable the state government to fulfill it commitment with regards to payment of pay revision arrears and other benefits as per the 6th pay commission recommendation.
In the memorandum Shastri suggested that a uniform mechanism should be involved by the finance commission as well as the planning commission to provide additional funds to release DA installments and extending other such benefits to the fixed income group from time to time along with their couterpart at the centre and other states of the country. |
