| UTTA demands filling of vacant posts in PDD | | | DODA 0CT-07 Expressing its serious concern over government’s failure in filling up the vacant posts of Technicians in Power Development Department, the Unemployed Technical Trade Association (UTTA) has sought Chief Minister’s personal intervention in resolving the issue pending for several years. Addressing media persons here today the President of the Association Fayaz Ahmed Bhat and Chairman Sheraz Ahmed Shinali said that due to non-filling of these posts accounting to about 500 has rendered trained youth unemployed adding that there had been no appointment against the Technician III since last 25 years. The Association leaders sought personal intervention of Chief Minister and the Power Department Minister in getting these posts filled up at the earliest adding that a deputation of the Association had also apprized the authorities about it during their meetings in Srinagar recently. They said that the deputation, besides meeting Health and Medical Education Minister Mangat Ram Sharma, had apprised the MoS Power, Principal Secretary to CM Shalinder Kumar and Principal Secretary PDD Madhav Lal about the problems facing the unemployed trained youth and urged for their permanent absorption in the Department against the vacant posts. Others present at the press conference were Rashid Butt, Shanti Bushan Sharma, Mohammed Rafi Wani, Jaffer Hussain, Imran Thakur, Irshad Ahmed Butt and Tirath Ram.
