JSF condemns brutality on Muhhram procession

JAMMU: Jammu Shia Federation (JSF) expressed serious concern over the brutal act by administration and police. In an hand out circulated to press Federation has warned government to desist from harassing community otherwise face the consequences.

President JSF, Ashiq Hussain Khan said “even in Lukhnow where restrictions were imposed on the procession were lifted and across the world nowhere restrictions are imposed but it is only in Kashmir were the people of a particular faith are being harassed for unknown reasons”.

Khan appealed government of day to make efforts to develop confidence within the community and take steps to safeguard lives and property of people of the community. He further said that in Jammu procession would taken with great fervor as is being taken out for last several years.
