Iqra Foundation, a non-Government Charitable organization based in Rajouri distributed relief to earthquake affected people of Mandi Sathra, Jandrolla, Gali Pindi , Gali Nag, Saloonia, Chakrara, Chella, Dhangri. Besides this IQRA also distributed relief among earthquake affected widows and kiths and relatives of accident persons. IQRA Foundation has been collecting and distributing relief material since Oct. 08-2005, in the areas of earthquake, which included Poonch, Rajouri, Baramulla, Budgam. The relief material included Floor, Rice, Blankets, Sugar, Clothes and Shawls etc.
In district Poonch, GPS Pathan and Primary Schools Nalah Sathar were also covered foe the relief. Speaking on the occasion Shabir Ahmed Rather, Chief Executive, Iqra Foundation, expressed sympathy and solidarity with the affected people and said efforts must be made to reach to the un-reached people of the affected areas urged that a state level disaster management committee be commissioned at an earliest, so to cope with any eventually and emergency in future.
