| KC to represent J&K in national group song competition | | | JAMMU | OCT 7 K C Public School, Jammu is all set to represent J&K, in national group song competition to be held at Nasik and Bikaner, by grabbing first position in the state level group song competition, which held today at GCW, Gandhi Nagar. The students of K C Public School emerged as front runners in both Sanskrit and Hindi categories and grabbed the opportunity to represent the state in national level group song competition in Sanskrit as well as Hindi at Nasik and Bikaner respectively. In the competition, which was organized by J&K unit of Bharat Vikas Parishad (BVP), a total of 15 teams from various schools of Jammu province participated. These teams were selected after the branch level competitions held at different branches of BVP. In Sanskrit, Heritage School and Jagriti Balwari School secured second and third position respectively. Meanwhile, J K Public School and Activity Hr. Sec School manages second and third position in Hindi song category. Principal GCW Gandhi Nagar, Prof. Veena Gupta was the chief guest on the occasion. National Addl. Gen. Secretary BVP, S K Wadhwa was presiding over the today’s competition. Earlier, Dr. Santosh Gupta President J&K BVP presented the welcome address and threw light on the contributions of BVP towards the strengthening of national spirit among the masses. The judges in the competition were Prof. Praveen Sabharwal (HoD Music, Gandhi Nagar College), Prof. Kailash Mehra (HoD Music, MAM College) and Prof. Anupama Sharma (Parade College). T R Gupta, MD T R Group of companies was also present on the occasion.
