| 2 Consume poison, 1 dies | | |

Jammu, Dec 27:
Two persons made unsuccessful attempts to end their lives after they consumed some poisonous substance at their respective residences.
The identity of the duo has been established as Kapil Koul son of Krishan Koul of Chinor, falling under the police post Chinor and Ajay Kumar son of Bodh Raj of Badhwal. Both of them were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital after their condition deteriorated due to consumption of some poisonous substance. The condition of the former was stated to be stable while the latter expired in hospital later on.
Police have registered cases at respective police stations and initiated inquest proceedings into the matters.
