Early Times Report
Ramnagar, Dec 27-Youth Congress has threatened a stir against the government move of changing the site of bridge over Kunju da Nara in Ramnagar area.
The party, in a meeting held under the chairmanship of Jagmohan, Block President, warned of stern consequences and repercussions in case any effort was made to shift the bridge across the other road and tamper with the history and sacrifices offered by their forefathers for the main road. He alleged the site of the bridge was being changed at the instance of local MLA.
Jagmohan, while piloting a resolution addressed to CM and R&B Minister, warned against any such move as the same may flare up public anger and flagrant protests in the area. He further criticized the PWD for acting under the influence of political pressure and trying to play truant with the dreams and aspirations of local people. He reiterated that a foot-way from Ramnagar to Johnu via Panjgrain was operational since the times of Maharaja, and keeping in view this sentiment the road was proposed and sanctioned alongside the said path.
