| Dubey, thousands others join Congress Party | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 27- Sardari Lal Dubey along with over 1,000 activists, including sarpanches and other prominent workers, joined Congress party at a function held at PCC Headquarters here today in presence of party president Prof. Saifuddin Soz. Welcoming their entry into the party fold, PCC Chief said that by joining Sardari Lal Dubey the party would be further strengthened in district Reasi in particular and sate in general. He said that secular ideals of the party and its policies and programs under the dynamic leadership of Sonia Gandhi have to be propagated for strengthening the party and nation. He said that Congress party is proud of its cherished history and its leadership from time to time which has not only achieved freedom but also made the nation n to take a long march on the path of progress and prosperity. The nation has touched high on all fronts and spheres of life because of directions and leadership provided by the Congress party. Prof. Soz said that secularism is the basis of strength of our nation and party has to continue to fight ideological war against all those forces whose policies and programs are a threat to the secular and social fabric of our country as well as state of Jammu and Kashmir. Sardari Lal Dubey said that ‘I have been in the Congress party since 1978 but I was forced to leave it because of nexus played by our own men. It is my home coming and I strongly believe in the leadership of Sonia Gandhi and PCC President Prof. Saifuddin Soz’. He pledged to work dedicatedly to strengthen Congress party. Senior leaders who were present at the function included Dharmpal Sharma, Amrit Malhotra-MLC, Th. Hari Singh, Yashpaul Kahajuria, S. Gurmukh Singh, Bashir Ahmed Magray-MLC, R. S. Chib-Minister for Medical Education, Prem Sagar Aziz, Swran Lata, S. Amolak Singh, Ch. Shah Mohammad, Indu Singh Pawar-MLA, Shiv Kumar Sharma, A.G.Kholi, D.S.Langeh-working president DCC Jammu (U), B.B.Gupta, Ashwani Puri and Narinder Gupta. The prominent among those who joined the Congress party were Rajinder Khajuria, Naresh Kesar, Soni Pandit, Hans Raj, Bishan Dass, Dault Choudhary, Reshi Dubey, Raj Singh, Raju Pandit and Raju Dubey.
