| Probe in Kulgam model village misappropriations | | | Early Times Report Srinagar, Dec 28 The Jammu and Kashmir government has ordered an inquiry in view of the allegation about alleged bungling in the construction of the model village at Kilam in south Kashmir. High placed official sources said there were allegations of corruption during the construction of the model village Kilam in Kulgam district of south Kashmir, which was inaugurated by the Rural Department, Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister, Ali Mohammad Sagar on Sunday. After the complaints, the minister sanctioned an additional Rs 20 lakh for construction of lanes and drains of the model village. He issued orders for constitution of an enquiry committee to look into the expenditure of the model village. The concerned minister Sagar said the coalition government is working hard and closely monitoring the implementation of various developmental and welfare schemes initiated for the betterment of the people. He also asked the people to come forward and provide an effective feed back about the status and implementation of the schemes, saying by doing so they would exhibit a participatory role which forms the basis of any democratic set up.
