| Fix seniority of petitioner with monetary benefits: HC | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 28- Deciding controversy over fixation of seniority of a petitioner, who was initially appointed as Sub-Inspector in the CRPF in the year 1985 and was sent on deputation to J&K Police on October 10, 1990 for a period of two years and Sub-Inspector in the year 1995, Justice Mohammed Yaqoob Mir directed the respondents to fix the seniority of the petitioner from March 1, 1992 with all consequential benefits. The petitioner Raavi Kant Sharma was recommended by ADG CID J&K for permanent absorption in J&K Police. At the relevant time in his parent department petitioner was promoted to the rank of Inspector in the year 1992. After hearing Advocate WS Nargal appearing for the petitioner, Justice Mir referred the judgments of High Court and Supreme Court and observed fact of the case of the petitioner is more are less similar to that of the reported case. The ratio laid down squarely covers the case of the petitioner. Allowing the petition, the court directed the respondents to fix seniority of the petitioner from March 1, 1992 with all other consequential benefits as shall be admissible on determination of his seniority and the same after worked out shall be made available to the petitioner.
