| Medical employees to join strike on Dec 30 | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Dec 28 : Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation (Original) has extended full support to the pen down strike call given by the government employees on December 30. In a meeting of the federation held under the chairmanship of Dharminder Singh Bhargav, president of the organisation, the members expressed concern over government’s “indifferent” attitude and said that it has failed to fulfill the promises made with the Joint Consultative Committee, the apex body of state government employees. The meeting further observed that the government has also failed to release the arrears of the state employees. The members also demanded early fulfillment of other demands like, regularization of services of adhoc employees, conversion of COLA into Dearness Allowance and implementation of 6th Pay Commission recommendations in favour of PSU under SRO 92, enhancement of retirement age from 58 to 60 years, removal of pay anomalies of clerical and all other cadre employees and uniform HRA to state government employees. Others who attended the meeting included R K Sharma, advisor, Pawan Sharma, president Sarwal Hospital employees, Parmjit Singh, general secretary, Saroj Bala, president FMPHW and Kamla Devi, general secretary and Govind Ram Sharma, UMCP.
