Jammu, Dec 28: Minister for higher education Abdul Gani Malik will confer Master Karan Chand, best teacher award upon college teachers on the ninth of January 2010.
According to a press release Karam Vidya Education Trust has been engaged in the noble task of identifying and bringing into limelight the dedicated and sincere teachers for the last couple of years.
The release further said that the award conferring ceremony will be held at the Women’s college Gandhi Nagar where 22 college teachers from across the state, beside Lal Green Award for helping preserve environment will also be presented.
Instituted in the memory of Master Karam Chand, the first president awarded teacher of the state who was also awarded by the J&K Govt. with life time achievement award for his dedicated service in the field of education.
