12/29/2009 11:01:30 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 29- In a contempt petition filed by the doctors for not allowing them for doing internship in Government Medical College Jammu, the Jammu and Kashmir High Court today directed Commissioner/Secretary Health and Medical Education Atal Dulloo and Principal Government Medical College Jammu to appear in person to show cause as to why the contempt of court proceedings be not initiated against them for disobedience of the directions issued by the High Court in a petition filed by 35 doctors who have completed their MBBS from ASCOMS Sidhra Jammu.
Advocate A M Malik appeared for the petitioners while no one appeared for the respondents in the contempt camp. Court held that since the respondents were not present despite service, a notice shall accordingly be issued to the respondents to appear in person and directed the Registry to list this petition during vacation.
