JMC removes encroachment from foot paths

Jammu, Dec 29: Continuing its anti encroachment drive the field staff of enforcement wing alongwith police force carried out a drive in the areas of New Plot, Old Janipur, Paloura, Bantalab, Barnai and Akhnoor road removed encroachments made by the shopkeepers and vendors by keeping the goods on pavements, footpaths etc. As per JMC media officer, Kamni Kesar during the drive two truck loads of goods like juice machines, iron stair, benches, stands, nets, stationary items, readymade garments, footwares, signboards, weighing machines etc. were seized from these areas. The team also seized seven numbers of reharies found plying without licences and causing obstruction in the free movement of vehicular traffic. The shopkeepers were asked to keep their goods within their own establishment to avoid the seizer and panel action against them under the supervision of J&K Municipal Corporation Act 2000.
