| Record production of mutton, wool in Kathua | | |

KATHUA, Dec 29
Sheep Husbandry Department, Kathua recorded a mutton production of 11.04 lakh Kg and 2.42 lakh Kg wool productions during eight months of the current financial year.
The department has provided dosing to 3, 64, 365 sheep and goats and dipping was done to 1, 94, 616 live stocks during the period. Besides, 29,100 sheep and goats were vaccinated and 21078 castrations were performed.
Apart from this tattooing branding was conducted on 1845 sheep and goat and 65652 sheep and goat were treated against different diseases up to ending of November 2009.
