| Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Mr. Anil Goswami chairing a meeting regarding Super Specialities Hospital at Jammu. | | Goswami chairs expert committee meeting for super specialties hospitals | | JAMMU, OCTOBER 07 A high level expert committee meeting held here today under the chairmanship of Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Mr. Anil Goswami to discuss and select models for construction of Super Specialities Hospital at Jammu. Director Health Services, Jammu, Principals of Government Medical College, Jammu, Srinagar, Chief Architect, General Manager JKPCC, Chief Town Planner, Chief Engineer CPWD and other senior officers of Health department participated. Mr. Goswami apprised that Central government has approved two Super Specialities Hospitals each for Jammu and Srinagar involving an expenditure of Rs. 120 crore of which Rs. 100 crore would be provided by Centre while state has to expend only Rs. 20 crore. Of the 12 tenders floated, six companies responded and presented their models for consideration of the committee and recommendations to the government for approval. Mr. Goswami said that Chief Minister Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad has directed that facilities of the Super Specialities would be made available within 18 months from the date of its functioning. The hospital would have latest health care facilities, which are available at Delhi, Chandigarh or any other part of the country. He said every care would be taken to provide every basic facilities regarding easy excess and free flow of traffic around the complex. A separate meeting will be convened to discuss the modalities for construction of fly-over and other links for regulation of traffic etc.
