JAMMU, DEC 29: The Department of Youth Services and Sports (YSS) is hosting 55th National School Games in Tennis-Ball Cricket Boys and Girls, under 19 years under the aegis of School Games Federation of India at Jammu from January 1st, 2010.
This was stated at a meeting held here today to review the arrangements for holding the event. The Director General, Youth Services and Sports, Mr. Shamim Ahmad Leharwals presided.
The meeting discussed measures regarding various facilities to be provided to the participating sports contingents.
The Department has framed various Committee and Sub-Committees in order to conduct the National level event in smooth and systematic manner. These include organizing, boarding and lodging, control room, press and publicity, liaison, finance, transport, technical, medical, equipment and reception.
Addressing the meeting, the Director General, YSS asked the concerned officers and field agencies to work in unison and make the event a grand success.
Director, YSS, Mr. G. M. Dar and other concerned officers attended the meeting.
