| MLA Poonch hails job policy | | |

Ajaz Jan, MLA from Poonch-Haveli conducted an extensive tour of his constituency and held public meetings at various places especially in the border belt. During his tour, he conducted surprise check of ration depots and enquired about the availability of food grains and other essentials.
Addressing series of Public Meetings at Mandi, Poonch, (Sawijan) Jan said the chief minister had taken a historic step by unveiling a policy which would address the genuine aspirations of the unemployed.
Jan said that the State government’s Sher-e-Kashmir Employment Welfare Policy for the Youth (SKEWPY) is a historic policy, which would change the economy of the State and gainfully engage the unemployed youth.
Jan said. “The policy is a visionary document which when implemented in letter and spirit will satiate the aspirations of the unemployed particularly youth poor and those living in far flung areas of the State.”
He hailed Omar Abdullah for stating that he was open for debate and discussion on the policy. Jan said the policy had laid emphasis on employment, employability, skill development while caring for the unrepresented and far flung areas that do not have access to formal education.
Jan appealed to the people of the State to rise above political ideologies and political beliefs and join hands in this endeavour of Omar Abdullah’s government to make this scheme a success so that the problems of unemployment is tackled in the State.
He during his tour also passed on spot for installing hand-pumps. MLA Poonch asked the officers to work with sense of service to the society and expeditiously complete the development works well in time.
Senior officials of PWD, PHE, PDD, CA&PD, SP Poonch also accompanied the MLA Poonch during his 15 day long tour of constituency.
