| Dry spell continues | | | Early Times Report Srinagar, Dec 29: The continued dry spell in Kashmir valley is likely to break, as weathermen today forecast light snow at isolated places on higher reaches of the valley in next 24 hours. There was not much difference in the day and night temperatures in the valley, even as frontier region of Ladakh continued to be under grip of severe cold, as minimum temperature dipped to minus 15.4 in Leh and minus 13.2 in Kargil. The day temperature in the two districts was minus 2.0 in Leh and minus 1.6 in Kargil, met office said. Srinagar saw a high of 11.3 degree Celsius for the second successive day, while the night temperature was minus 2.3 degree Celsius, almost same recorded yesterday. Day temperature of 11.0 degree Celsius was recorded at Kupwara, followed by Qazigund (9.0), Pahalgam (8.2) and Kokernag (7.9). However, the night temperature remained stationery at minus 4.
