President of its youth wing Bashir Assad today said that Peoples Democratic Party provides the only political platform to the youth of the state to voice their feelings and concerns.
While welcoming Javed Iqbal of Jawaher Lal Nehru University, Center for Political Studies in the party folds, Bashir Assad said that the youth of the state till recent past were deprived of any space in state politics by the successive National Conference regimes with the sole aim of advancing their family rule in the state. But the emergence of PDP in state politics the youth of the state seized an opportunity to give vent to their feelings in a democratic way, he said.
He alleged Omar Abdullah government abandoned the road map set for the political empowerment of the youth by the PDP led coalition government and is totally ignoring the problems of the youth instead just trying to hoodwink them by mere sloganeering.
Speaking on the occasion Javed Iqbal said that he, being a student of politics was highly influenced by PDP’s political ideology and was convinced by the caring leadership of the party.
