| NSS volunteers of MAM College launched awareness campaign | | |

Jammu, Dec 30: The NSS volunteers of Government MAM College, visited slums area of Qasim Nagar and Rajiv Nagar as a part of their 10 day special camp here today. The volunteers were accompanied by programme officers, Prof. Hans Raj along with social worker of the area, Minu Jamwal who launched awareness and cleanliness drive in the adopted area. Volunteers also collected socio-economic and educational data of the inhabitants and it was found by the volunteers that most of the parents were very reluctant about the education of their children. The volunteers stressed upon the inhabitants about the necessity of the education and cleanliness and also benefit about the merits of the small family. During the visit the people of the area also complained about poor quality of drinking water, sanitary conditions prevailing there are lack of dispensary.
