| KP youth not humans but merely a commodity | | | CHAMAN KAUL JAMMU, DEC 31: Hon’ble Chief Minister and Revenue Minister finally came out with a visionary formula to provide jobs to Kashmiri Pandit (KP) youths agitating for the last several years to get jobs. But both Hon’ble Chief Minister and Revenue Minister while formulating terms and condition seems have forgotten the circumstances in which KPs were forced to leave the homes, property and the government jobs. Authoritarian terms and conditions mentioned in their formula speak volumes of their sincerity as if KPs are hard core criminals or the prisoners of war. If secularism is taken in consideration then there should similar rule for other living or employed in government jobs in Vally, but such is not the case. And the billion dollar question is why? “Look employment and return are purely two different issues. Government under designs have mingled both the issues together to threaten the aspirants and restrict them to take advantage of the opportunity” said Panun Kashmir Convenor Agnishekhar. He said that government had stressed upon non-transferable and giving bond modes of employment but what about security of those employed besides there is no reference regarding age relaxation for all KP organizations are struggling for the years. He said the terms and conditions framed are authoritarian and not acceptable to the community. It is important to mention that KPs were forced to leave their homes due to terrorism and at that time about 25000 KPs were employed with various government departments mostly at gazetted level. But with caring for jobs, property and wealth Kps left to save their life and dignity. But government today is offering their wards and children job of Class-IV at cost of their life and dignity. “KP youth if employed can not leave the place in any circumstances as per government rule means they did not want implement PM’s package but want bonded laborers” said President Panun Kashmir Aswani Kumar Chrungoo. He said it is simply creating of “concentration camp” in valley for KPs under the name of return of the community. Chrungoo said it amounts to violation of fundamental and human rights; secondly, there are no clear details about Class-IV employments. Hon’ble Minister for Revenue and Relief when contacted said there is nothing to get worried and disconnected the phone. Which could be well understood by his usual busy scheduled he did find it to respond with responsibility. Anyhow, what will the fate of KP youth time only can say till the wait to watch exact situation.
