| Guests from POK decline to 2 | | | Early Times Report SRINAGAR : Number of guests from Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) declined further as only one man and a woman arrived here while 17 from this side of the border crossed over to the other side of the Line of Control (LoC) in the Karvan-e-Aman bus this afternoon.
Only two persons--a man and a woman--arrived here from POK after crossing the Aman Setu bridge on foot near the Kaman post, the last Indian military post on this side of the LoC, official sources told.
They said 15 residents of this side, who had crossed over to POK, also returned to their homes after meeting their relatives there. They included two women and as many children.
As many as seventeen residents of different parts of the Kashmir valley also travelled in the Aman bus to Muzaffarabad, capital of POK to meet their relatives. They included seven women and two children.
They travelled for the first time to meet their relative across the border since their families seperated in 1947.
As many as six residents of POK, who were here also travelled back to their homes after meeting their relatives here.
The Aman bus, operating between Muzaffarabad and Srinagar, was inaugurated by Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh on April 7,2005 in presence of UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and then Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed.
The bus enabled hundreds of divided families to meet each other for the first time since they were separated in 1947.
