| Govt suspends licenses of 14 drug stores | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 1 The Jammu and Kashmir government has suspended licenses of 14 drug sale establishments (DSE) for illegal sale of medicines. The Jammu and Kashmir Department of Drugs and Food Control Organisation conducted two-day raids, which concluded today, on various DSE in Poonch, Rajouri and Jammu districts and suspended the licenses of 14 DSEs, JKDDFCO officials said. They lifted the statutory drug samples from the market to check their quality and sent it to drug testing laboratories. All the retail DSEs have been asked to sell Schedule-H drugs only against the prescription of a registered medical practitioner. The leading drug stores were also directed to switch over to computerised billing for making transactions more transparent, the officials said.
