| NSF accuses JU of shielding accused | | | Early Times Report Jammu Jan 01- National Secular Forum of Jammu University unit today organized interaction program with the teachers, scholars and students over the shielding of the accused involved in the marks tempering case and establishment of Police Station in the campus. Accusing University authorities for shielding the accused involved in the tampering scam, Dr Sandeep Sharma, a scholar said that the marks tampering scam has damaged the reputation of the University. Sanjeev Gupta, a Law student said that the University authorities are trying to hush up the marks tempering case as senior officers of the University were involved in the matter. Ameena Rajput PhD Scholar and Kiran M. Phill Scholar have asked the Chancellor and the Pro- Vice Chancellor to hold an enquiry into the matter and take strict action against the culprits. On the issue of setting up the police post in the University Dr. Amit Kumar said that the Police Station is being set up on the name of security only to curb the democratic voice of students. Vikas Saraf alleged that Vice Chancellor Prof Varun Sahni was least bothered about the welfare of the students and the campus. Vikas Sharma President NSF accused the Vice Chancellor of not taking keen interest in solving the problems being faced by the students.
