NSF vows to intensify agitation

Jammu, Jan 03- Up in the arms against the University of Jammu for shielding the accused involved in the marks tempering case and recent move of University authorities to establish a Police Post in the Campus, National Secular Forum(NSF) today interacted with students, scholars of both hostels for launching a awareness campaign in Hostels for boys.
Led by Vikas Sharma, NSF state president along with team, during their interaction said that Chancellor, Pro-Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor of the University have turned as mute spectators to the exploitation of University at the hands of corrupt and inefficient people, as no action has been taken by any of them to put the things in order.
He said that mass copying was detected in two B.Ed colleges while more such cases went unnoticed, not even a single person from any of these colleges was punished for their corrupt practice.
Vikas Sharma further said the Jammu University authorities have been shielding the accused involved in the marks tampering and mass copying cases as senior officers of the University were involved in the matter.
During the interaction, Mohammed Maqeem Ansari University Unit President NSF, questioning the decision of University authorities to establish Police post in the campus said, “What message authorities are giving to the society and the world that a University which is the highest learning institution in the society and guides the society is producing criminals”. He said this decision of the authorities has done a great damage to the image of the Jammu University and that NSF will oppose the move tooth and nail.
