| Poonch-Rajouri high reaches receive first snow fall of 2010 | | HCC stops work on Mughal road | |

The high reaches of Pirpanchal region received first snow fall of 2010 and all the developmental activities have been stopped by the concerned agencies including the ongoing work at the pretigious project of Mughal road . The trific movemenmt on Dera –Ki Gali area remained also disrupted through out the day on Sunday due to the abrupt snow fall in the range . However, police claimed to have cleared all the veichles halted in Dera Ki Gali area in the late evening .
Sources said, the high mountains of Pirpanchal range in Poonch- Rajouri border districts received the seasons first snowfall on Sunday due to which the developmental activities going in the mountainous area have been stopped by the concerned agencies . Sources said, the snowfall was witnessed in the higher reaches of Mandi, Loran , Chandimarh , Bafliaz and B G areas pf Poonch distrci . Similarly, the higher reches in Budhal, Kandi and Rattanpir area of Thanamandi also received the first snowfall of the season.
With the abrupt snow fall in Dera Ki Gali area, the traffic movement between , Poonch and Rajouri districts remained disrupted through out the day . However, the disrupted veichles were cleared by police in the evening , said sources. However, no loss of life or property was reported from any part of the region till the last reports came in. Meanwhile, sources said, the Hindustan Construction Company also shifted its workers to their safe shelters soon after the abrupt snowfall didn’t allow them to work . The company sources told this correspondent that the work would be resumed only after the improvement in the weather .
