| No charges against DR SKUAST | | | Early Times Report In connection with the report on illegal appointments in Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agriculture Sciences, Jammu, it is clarified that the charges against Director Research Dr NA Sudan were withdrawn by a high level committee constituted by the authorities to look into the case of Automated Blood Gas Analyser. On complaint of the supplying firm Dr Sudan and others were served notice in 2003, but perusal of latest records, which were not available with Early Times while filing report for January 2 issue, reveals that the present Director Research was absolved of the charges in 2006 after a high level committee had vindicated his stand. The charge-sheet served by then Registrar was withdrawn through memo number AUJ/Admn/06-07/3227-34 dated 28-08-2006. Earlier in March 2005, the Dean of the University in his letter AUJ/FVSJ/5579 had informed the Assistant Registrar (Establishment) that a five member committee endorsed the stand of Dr NA Sudan in purchase of Automated Blood Gas Analyser. |
