| Center to settle issues of refugees: Soz | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 3: As parties in Jammu and Kashmir remain divided in the key issue, the Pradesh Congress Committee President Prof Saif-ud-Din Soz has said that he will get the issue of PoK and West Pakistan refugees settled through the Central Government. Soz was addressing a rally of refugees and other Congress supporters near here today. He was accompanied by Sports Minister RS Chib, Revenue Minister Raman Bhalla and former Deputy Chief Minister Mangat Ram Sharma. Soz claimed that it is the only congress Government which can settle the long pending issues of the Refugees. Addressing a huge gathering of the Refugees, Soz gives the refugees his best wishes for new year and said, “The people should welcome the first rain of the season as well as the first rain of the new year as it was the need of the hour”, he said “the rain for Jammu region and snow for the Kashmir region is very important”. He said, the Congress party is the party of Mahatma Gandhi, Indira, Rajiv and is solving the issues of people of the country from last many years as it is the duty of the party to sort out the issues of every community. On the occasion, Minister for Rehabilitation, Raman Bhalla also assured to sort out the issues of refugees on the pattern of the Kashmiri Migrants and said, “Since he was assured to Kashmiri Migrants to settle their issue to provide government jobs and his promise was fulfilled by him when the government announced to provide 3000 jobs to the Kashmiri migrants. It is now turn of refugees to settle their issues as they are rendered homeless from last many years and no other government had settle their issue. During the rally, Convener, West Pak Refugees asked the state as well as centre government to solve their issue as earliest as the refugees are already exhausted after moving from pillar to pillar in favor of their demands from last many years as the successive governments in state had failed to mitigate their demands and now all eyes are on the Congress government, which is enjoying power in state as well as in centre. |
