EDB launches farmers’ club at Sui

Udhampur, Jan 4-Ellaquai Dehati Bank (EDB), in collaboration with NABARD, launched Krishna Farmer’s Club at village Sui aiming at increasing the access to rural credit through technology transfer, awareness and capacity building.
DDM NABARD and various officials from the line departments and NGOs gave detailed inputs on the concept of Farmer’s club program and the benefits which the farmers can have through the Farmers Clubs in achieving the overall socio- economic development of the area. The program provided excellent opportunity to the farmers to have direct interaction with various experts and necessary inputs were given on issues relating to the development of the area.
Regional Manager of Ellaquai Dehati Bank enjoined upon the farmers to avail the benefits of Bank’s Kissan Credit Card scheme, whereby farmers can avail credit at a concessional rate of 7%. He also laid stress on the importance of development though credit and timely recycling of funds
