| PDP expresses concern over power scenario | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 4- While terming the latest power crises in the state as unfortunate, PDP today said that entire state has been plunged into darkness due to disruption in supply of electricity. In sub zero temperatures, hospitals are the worst sufferers where patients and their attendants' are shivering as no heating systems are working in hospitals. Describing the breakdown in Northern Grid as droopiness, President Youth wing of the party Bashir Assad in a statement has said the supply line along with the transmission and distribution system has totally collapsed in the state and the Omar Abdullah government is watching this as mute spectator. Power break down has hit all the essential services in Kashmir and people are suffering immensely on account of the government failure in tackling the situation. Assad said that Omar Abdullah led coalition government was insensitive to the crises and issuing statements from highly decorated offices would yield no results. Lambasting the coalition for its failures in formulating proper planning, Assad said that the astounding revelations made by a section of media suggesting that the state government has financially left the State Power Development Corporation in a catastrophe has exposed the coalition in its entirety. The state government should take serious measures to do away with the ongoing severe power crisis, he added.
