| KP women launch “Kashmira Vaahini” to realize Homeland in valley | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 4- A group of Kashmiri Pandit (KP) women living in exile launched an organization namely ‘Kashmira Vaahini’ (Army of Goddess Kashmira) to build up a tangible political conscience in women, mainly for achievement of Homeland in Kashmir. The announcement was made in this regard by the KP women activists of this organization at Jammu Club here today. Later, briefing media persons about the objectives of this new organization, Neelam Koul, press incharge, apprised that Vaahini would spread awareness amongst the KP women about their geo- political rights and organize resistance movements against cultural genocide and historical distortions. She termed the conditions tagged with the package of 3000 jobs in the Valley as increasingly authoritative and draconian and expressed that the package was merely a ploy aimed at discouraging and frightening the candidates, being highly discriminatory. She also took strong exception to a nefarious move of the state government to share this package with so-called internally displaced migrants of the Kashmir valley and other political Muslim migrant categories. “Kashmiri Vaahini will also take steps for sustaining and strengthening of the religio-cultural base of the community so that the younger generations feel motivated to protect and preserve it,” she further said. It was also informed that Kashmiri Vaahini would undertake vigorous enrollment drive to widen its operational base through workshops, meetings, seminars and other similar steps to organize the women to redouble the resolve and the discrimination to foster logical struggle for the achievement of Homeland in Kashmir. Kirti Kalla, Khema Kaul, Neelam Koul, Rama Shah, Sushma Rishi and Sunita Santoshi were also present at the press conference
