| PDD daily wagers submit memorandum to Governor | | |

Hundreds of daily wagers of Power Development Department (PDD) today took out a protest rally and submitted a memorandum to Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra here.
Agitating for the past two-months, the daily wager employees under the banner of All Jammu and Kashmir Daily Wager Employees Union, marched towards Raj Bhawan shouting anti-government slogans.
The protestors after staging dharna outside the Governor's House and shouted slogans against chief minister Omar Abdullah demanding fulfilling of their pending demands.
''We have submitted a copy of memorandum comprised of our long pending demands to Governor N N Vohra and he has assured us early redressal of the grievances,'' a Union leader said.
The employees are agitating for the past two months demanding regularization and release of their pending salaries.
