| 4 held for selling Govt cement in open market | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 4: Kanachak police has busted nexus between government employees and private cement dealers here today by arresting three persons and seizing a truck laden with government cement bags which was being unloading in a private cement shop. Police source informed that among three arrested persons, one is assistant field inspector of Soil Conservation Department who was instrumental in selling the government cement to the private dealer. Police has also got more clues on his disclosure and more arrests and recoveries are likely, he maintained. Kanachak police led by SHO Jaipal Sharma under the supervision of Additional SP Rural Mohan Lal and SDPO Domana Divakar Singh on specific information conducted a raid in a private cement store in Getla village and seized a truck bearing registration number JK02F,5281 which was laden with 300 cement bags of Ambuja company. The cement was belong to Soil Conservative Department. When the team conducted raid the truck was being un loaded. Police has also arrested three persons on spot. They have been identified as Paramjeet Singh son of Mor Singh resident of Chattha Gujran, Assistant Field Inspector of Soil Conservative Department, the owner of the private cement store identified as Satpal son of Baldev Raj resident of Simbali and driver of the truck Pawan Singh son of Payara Lal. Police has registered a case under section 407,409 420 RPC against the accused. Further investigation is going on.
