Rich tributes paid to Trisal on his 2nd death anniversary
Tarigami cautions against divisive forces

Jammu Jan 05- Rich tributes were paid to senior CPI (M) leader and social activist, O N Trisal (Advocate) on his second death anniversary at a function organized by the state unit of CPI (M) which was attended by a cross section of people. Those who paid tributes to the departed leader include M.Y.Tarigami, State Secretary CPI(M), Vijay Bakaya, MLC, Abdul Rehman Tukroo senior CPI leader and former MLC, Sham Prasad Kesar, Regional Secretary, CPI(M) Jammu, Abdul Gani Hafiz senior CPI(M) leader, Makhan Lal Bhat, President Migrant Cell CPI(M) and journalist Mohammed Yousuf Ganaie Nairang.
While paying tributes to late Trisal, Tarigami appealed all political parties and shades of opinion to unitedly protect pluralism, communal brotherhood and political unity of the state. He cautioned against divisive forces who are hell bent to divide the people and the state on communal lines. He said that a united state with empowerment at different levels is in the interest of all the regions and communities. He appealed the poor sections and oppressed people to unitedly struggle for the betterment of their lives. Tarigami also insisted that democratic protests of various sections should not be suppressed as it is the basic democratic right of the masses and the representative government should not behave in an autocratic way.
Vijay Bakaya, Abdul Rehman Tukroo, Sham Prasad Kesar and Abdul Gani Hafiz, Dr.Inder Pandita and Makhan Lal Bhat highlighted the contribution of Advocate Trisal in the progressive political movement of the state. Mohammed Yousuf Ganaie Nairang, journalist described the late leader a dynamic personality with a scientific, objective and moderate approach in politics. His total commitment to the preservation of Kashmiri ethos and sympathy with the common man was also highlighted by Nairang and other speakers.
Comrade O N Trisal, a prominent advocate from, Kashmir was associated with left politics and for the last 15 years had worked as a senior leader of CPI(M) and was president of its peasant wing—J&K Kisan Tehrik. Along-with Abdul Gani Hafiz he edited the party organ “YEH NAIYE RASTEY”. He passed away on January 5, 2008 at Jammu.
