Hazratbal Police recovered stolen property over Rs. 12 Lakhs

Hazratbal Police claimed to have solved a number of burglaries cases and made huge recoveries of stolen property worth Rs 12 Lakhs.
Police reports said that in one of such cases registered in Police Station Zadibal regarding the theft of Pashmina Shawls and Gold Jewelery Lakhs from one Zahoor Ahmad Baba at Zadibal on October 15.
The concerned police after registering a case against FIR No. 5/09 u/s 457, 380, 411, 109 CrPC took cognizance. Due to sincere and committed efforts of the investigating team the police recovered costly Pashmina Kani Shawls and Gold Jewelery worth seven Lakhs from Abdul Hameed Malik @ Kachwa of Saidapora, Mushtaq Ahmad Dar and Ghulam Ahmad are both of Narainbagh, Wakura Ganderbal.
In yet another similar instance, the police made breakthrough and recovered nine Laptops from two persons which had been stolen from Hazratbal. In this regard separate cases were registered from the last two months against FIR No’s. 109/09, 119/09, 120/09, 122/09, 123/09, under section 380 RPC at Police Station Nigeen, and during the investigation Police arrested one person with the help of University guards.
The suspect was put under sustained interrogation who further revealed the name of accomplice and then the Hazratbal Police send parties to different parts of city and succeeded in recovery of nine stolen Laptops worth about 4.5 Lakhs. Further investigation is going on.
Furthermore Police seized a huge load of green illegal timber at Soura which was being smuggled in Tata Mobile Truck bearing registration number JK04A-6550. The driver Muzamil Ahmad Dar of Awanta Bhawan Soura of the said truck during questioning revealed that this load was to be delivered to a furniture manufacturer at Soura. The estimate of the timber is 55 Cft. Costing Rs. 70000/.
On this a case FIR No. 140/09 under section 379 RPC, 6 Forest Act stands registered.
