Jammu, Jan 5: A day long session of geneal council of J&K National trade union front was held under the presidentship of Mohd. Gafoor Dar state president of the front here today. All the presidents and general secretaries of various associations/unions of the front participated and took part in the deliberations regarding 12th January strike call given by J&K Govt. employees Joint action committee.
As per press release General council after thread-bare discussion unanimously decided to support the strike call on 12th January 2010, to force the state Govt. for early solution of pending demands vis. Release of Arears of Sixth pay commission in cash from 2006 to state Govt. employees an pensioners, release of pending 5% H.R.A. due DA installment from July 2009, Removal of pay anomalies of various cadres particularly equilent cadre of SO in various department, clerical cadre etc.
Addressing the session Gafoor warn the state govt not to delay the genuine demands of state govt employees and workers failing which the working class of the state under the joint plat form of J&K joint action committee will intensify the agitation further after observing 12th January strike. The other prominent leaders of JKNTUF who addressed the session were Ghulam Rasool Geelani, Babu Hasan Malik, Krishan Singh Bahu, Rajinder Kumar, Shazadi Gil, Mohd. Latif, Arun Moza, Balbir Singh, S.K. Sahni, Muneer Ahmed Mohan Lal, Mohd. Sadiq, Sahdev Singh, Bharat Bhushan Bhatti, Vaid Parkash Sahrma, Sawan and Shubash Chander.
