JBA hold meet reject W.G. report

Jammu, Jan 5: The Jammu Bachao Andolan (JBA) convener, Wg.cdr. (ret’d) G.L. Sharma has urged the Prime minister Dr. Manmohan Singh to reject, the report submitted by Justice Sageer Ahmed and convene a round table conference to ascertain the views and aspirations of the people of Jammu, Ladakh and Kashmir regions.
Launching six month political awareness campaign in Jammu Division at a public meetingheld at Khara in Samba district today he criticizing the Sageer report, said that it is nothing but the carbon copy of the election manifesto of National conference. He said that neither Autonomy advocating pre-1953 position nor self rule are in the national interest or in the interest of people of Ladakh, Jammu & Kashmir regions. He added that the recommendations of the report will further subjugate the people of Jammu and Ladakh regions besides Gujjar, Bakarwals, Refugees of Pak occupied Jammu and western Pakistan, Kashmiri Pandits, Paharies and other peace loving sections of the society.
He said who can accept that the Supreme Court of India, Election commissioner of India and Comptroller and Auditor General of India have no Jurisdiction in J&K. The world has changed and no sovereign country can agree to have jurisdiction only in the mattes of defence, foreign affairs, communication and currency in its sate which is its integral part. He said JBA will make aware people of Jammu region about the political discrimination meted out to them and the need for putting an end to this once for all. It will also proactively campaign for setting up a delimitation commission for ensuring equitable share of assembly and parliamentary constituencies to all the regions as per their population, area, terrain and other parameters. Dr. Satish prakash, JS Baloria, Davinder Jamwal, Neena Mishra, R.N. Khajuria, Gp. Capt. Retd Pawan Ku,ar H.S. Baloria Neelam Sharam and Thakur Narsingh was present in the meeting.
