| Kranti Dal makes mockery of Traffic week | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 5 Ridiculing the conduct of Traffic week in the city, Kranti Dal has termed it as merely a futile exercise being carried out by the concerned department. Addressing media persons here today, state general secretary Pritam Sharma said that Traffic week was meant to educate the public in general and vehicle owners in particular about the Traffic Rules but the Traffic Police is busy in collecting revenue through challans which has turned this week virtually into a ‘Challan Week’. He alleged that the Traffic Police cops are openly collecting money from the commercial vehicles at different Nakas or points every month. He said that the stress must be laid on to educate the students about traffic rules and laws rather than raising revenue during this week, so that they do not break the rules and must understand their importance.
