| Congress resolves to strengthen Omar led coalition: DY CM | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, 05- While addressing unprecedented and mammoth gathering comprising of more than 50 thousand people today at Khour, the Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Tara Chand strongly advocated to strengthen Omar led government which has received all round appreciation for successful achievements made in the field of development of the state during last one year.
He said the present coalition government has continued the pace of development initiated by Ghulam Nabi Azad the then Chief Minister, with the same spirit and ability. He said that during last one year the facts reveal that such decisions and actions have been taken by coalition government which have made remarkable impact on ground. He said not only large number of youth have been benefited by various employment oriented packages but the state has witnessed improvement in security scenario and has completed unfinished mega development projects.
Deputy Chief Minister said that thousands of new projects have been launched which have helped to shape the state as the most modern state of the country. The all round construction of roads, bridges, augmentation in power generation, launching of water supply schemes, establishment of network of colleges and schools and above all two university for Jammu and Kashmir have further strengthen the confidence of people that government is swiftly realising their dreams into actions and fulfilling the promises made to them.
Minister for R&B, Mr. Saroori in his address said that the government would not keep any stone unturned in improving the basic facilities of the people, particularly living in rural and border areas of the State. He said the massive developmental programme initiated in different sectors would definitely change the socio economic status of the people living across the state.
Senior Congress leader and MLC Mr. Abdul Gani Vakil spelt out the measures undertaken by the Union and State governments for restoring peace in the state. He said the day was not far when the prosperity and peace would again prevail in the state adding that efforts are being made to involve all the sections of the society in a meaningful dialogue for the resolution of the long pending Kashmir issue.
Addressing the enthusiastic and cheering mammoth gathering, the other speakers including Senior Congress leader and MLA Surankote Ch. Mohammad Aslam, MLCs Mr. Naresh and Mohammad Amin Bhat, MLA Banihal Vakar Rasool and former Minister Mr. Gharu Ram highlighted the achievements of the government registered during the last one year. They said that the coalition government will never allow any evil design to succeed in stalling the present pace of progress.
