| Machail Yatra | | SSS Sanstha appeal Guv take over management of shrine board | | EARLY TIMES REPORT BHADERWAH, JAN 6: The patron of ‘Sarve Shakti Sewak’ (SSS) Sanstha of Machail yatra management, Kulbir Singh Jamwal has decided to handover complete management of the annual yatra to holy shrine of Chandi Mata popularly known as ‘Machail Yatra’ under the control of state governor. As per press release Jamwal in this connection said a communication has already been sent to the governor, with the request to take over the control of shrine. The ever increasing strength of pilgrims for the yatra which was started by Jamwal in August 1980 with 25 persons of his family has crossed the number in lakhs and has become almost round the year for the last couple of years, and as much it has become very difficult for the Sarve Shakti Sevak Sanstha Machail Yatra Management to manage the affairs of the Annual Machail Yatra. So keeping inv view the increase in strength of pilgrims and the difficulties being faced by the sanstha to manage the affairs of yatra and the inconvenience faced by the pilgrims it has been firmly decided by Jamwal after consulting the general body of Sanstha to hand over the management and control of the Holy Annual Machail Yatra to the government of J&K and to constitute a separate independent board to mange the affairs of the yatra to that every possible help with modern facility may be provided to the pilgrims participating in the sad yatra.
