| Raghunath Bazaar fest to host mega event | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, January 06- Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Dr Pawan Kotwal today convened a meeting to finalize the arrangements for the Raghunath Bazaar Utsav/Lohri Festival 2010.
Being organized for the first time, various mega events are in line for making the three day Utsav an enthralling show for the tourists .The festival to commence from 11th January at Raghunath Bazar will put on display the rich cultural heritage of the region .These include cultural procession, display of ethnic dresses and food.
Saying that Raghunath Bazaar Utsav would provide good platform to showcase the rich Dogra Art and Culture and also promote trade in the city. Dr Kotwal asked the associations and concerned departments to make adequate arrangements for the visitors especially those from outside the state. He asserted on providing special added discounts on different items, hotels and lodges which would redouble the enthusiasm of the event
He asked for putting in coordinated efforts to make the festival a grand success ensuring that this festival helps to woo tourist to the City of Temples .
SSP Jammu, Commissioner JMC ,Presidents of Raghunath Bazaar Business Association, Traders Association, Hotel & Lodges Association besides senior officers of civil and police administration were present in the meeting
