| BJP leader joins PDP | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 6- Impressed by the pro-peace policies of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and Mehbooba Mufti, a prominent leader of BJP Sanjay Choudhary today joined Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the presence of senior party leaders.
Speaking on the occasion Sanjay Choudhary said that he has decided to join PDP due to the pro-people policies being adopted by the party leadership. He said that it was need of the hour of work for restoring lasting and sustainable peace in this region.
Terming Mufti Mohammad Sayeed as crusader of peace, Choudhary said that during his three year tenure Sayeed has set an example of good governance. He said that it was only during the regime of Mufti Mohammed Sayeed that equal treatment was given all the three regions of the State.
Those who present on the occasion included former Minister Peer Mohammad Hussain, general secretary of the party Thakur Balbir Singh, Sardar Rangil Singh, Daman Bhasin, R K Bali, Deepinder Kour and Surjeet Kour.
Speaking on the occasion Thakur Balbir Singh welcomed Sanjay Choudhary in the party and hoped that with his joining party would be strengthened in Jammu city in general and Jammu West assembly segment in particular.
