Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 6- Launching second phase of agitation against the authorities of Jammu University (JU) exposing their misdeeds, the student activists of National Secular Forum (NSF) today started an awareness campaign making the University stakeholders aware about prevailing discrepancies in the campus.
The NSF activists led by Vikas Sharma, president, distributed pamphlets among the students, scholars, teachers and all other staff. Through pamphlets it has been highlighted how the University is functioning in an improper manner.
The pamphlet throws light at the infamous cases of marks tampering and mass copying and how culprits involved in the scam were going scot free. The pamphlet clearly stated that University is not functioning properly owing to which it is fast losing its credibility which is dangerous for the stakeholders of the University, in particular, and society, in general.
The pamphlets were even distributed among the administrators of the University, including Registrar and Dean Academic Affairs (DAA).
The NSF activists also went around the whole campus and paid visit to each teaching department and distributed the pamphlets among all.
Vikas Sharma has said that under this phase of campaign people across the province will be made aware about the alleged bungling in the University affairs.
He added that campaign will now be taken to district and tehsil levels where, the NSF activists will distribute pamphlets among all the college students and teachers besides, common masses.
Condemning JU authorities, Sharma said that students and scholars have been protesting in the campus for the last 25 days, but, Vice Chancellor didn’t take any notice hence, the students are left with no option other than to take the battle against injustice among the masses. Now, people will decide about the matter and force the authorities to mend their way, he maintained.
He NSF is to approach legislators and Parliamentarians in this regard to seek their intervention into the matter so that they will expose the misdeeds of JU authorities in the Assembly.
