| Lal Chowk attack outcome of government’s failure to deal with militancy: Arora | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 6- Strongly condemning the militant attack at Lal Chowk in Srinagar, BJP State Spokesperson Ramesh Arora has described it as the outcome of government’s failure to deal with militancy and soft approach towards militants. In a statement issued here today Ramesh Arora said ‘we always opposed the move of withdrawal of security forces as situation was not yet normal’ but regrettably the government withdrew several thousands security personnel without making proper arrangement of the security of innocent public. Government should not go forward for withdrawing more forces rather government should deploy more forces in sensitive areas, he pointed out. Arora said that our state in facing militancy and exodus since 1989. Hence, government should take all into confidence before deciding the sensitive issues like security withdrawal or abolishment of AFSP Act. There can be no compromise over the common interest and peace in the state as it is in the interest of all, he said and added that Government should immediately call meet of all parties over the issue of withdrawal of forces. The BJP leader has also expressed shock over the injury caused to media person and appreciated the media for covering live incident at the cost of their life. It will strengthen forth pillar of democracy, he said.
