| ARMY ORGANISES MEDICAL CAMP AT VILLAGE TIKRI | | | Udhampur, Oct 08, 2006
In an effort to win hearts and minds of civil population of J &K under ‘Operation Sadbhavna’ HQ 71 Sub area had organized a “Medical Aid Camp” at Village Tikri in Udhampur district today. The Camp was organized by Forty First EME Bn (Tpt) and the doctors of Command Hospital, Northern Command.
The Camp was inaugurated by Brig KK Chopra, VSM, Cdr 71 Sub Area. Many civilian dignitaries, village heads, ex-servicemen were present on the occasion. In addition Brig R Mohan Chand, Offg Dy Comdt, Command Hospital & many other senior service offrs and ladies were also present. The camp consisting of gynecologist, eye and ENT specialists, pediatrician, skin specialist and physicians drew large crowd from adjoining villages of Tikri. In addition to primary health service of specialist doctors, Pathological test facility was also provided & free medicines worth Rs 1.5 lakhs were also distributed by the Army.
Brig KK Chopra, VSM, Cdr 71 Sub Area visited the camp site and interacted with local population. He expressed great satisfaction & pleasure in medical facilities provided in the medical camp. He complemented Forty First EME Bn (Tpt) and Command Hospital (Northern Command) for preparations & successful conduct of the medical camp. He expressed his desire that such programmes under ‘OP Sadbhavna’ will go a long way towards enhancing the spirit of National integration and general well being in the region.
