Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 7 Ghulam Ahmed Bhat, Kabir Puraskar Awardee, called on the Governor, N. N. Vohra, at Raj Bhavan, here today. Bhat, a resident of Hokletri, Khansahib, Budgam, has been awarded with the Kabir Puraskar, for communal harmony, for the year 2008. The Governor discussed with Mr. Bhat the nature of help he has been rendering to the victims of terrorism and the initiatives taken by him for maintaining communal harmony in the Valley and suggested what more needs to be done. The Governor observed that Jammu and Kashmir has been an abode of communal harmony, brotherhood and secular ethos for centuries past and underscored the need for fully restoring and further nurturing these high pluralistic traditions. He hoped that. Bhat’s selfless work to promote harmony would be a shining example which many others could emulate.
