Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 7- SaMaPa, Sopori Academy of Music And Performing Arts, in collaboration with Tourism Department and J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages’ is holding its fortnight long 4th Annual ‘SaMaPa Aalap Festival’, the premier classical, Sufi and folk music festival of Jammu and Kashmir State from tomorrow. Twenty five presentations at various venues including educational institutes, cultural centers and auditoriums of Jammu like Government College for Women Gandhi Nagar, Govt. College for Women (Parade), MAM College, GGM Science College, GGM Commerce College, Gandhi College, Bantalab, Jodhamal School, K.C. Public School, Lawrence School, DBN School, K.L.Saigal Hall, Institute of Music & Fine Arts are being held during the festival, besides featuring some special recitals. For the first time a dedicated function is being held at the Jammu Press Club for the journalists and media personalities apart from a concert will in R.S.Pora area and a special concert at District Central Jail, Jammu designed for the inmates and staff of the Prisons Department. Talks by eminent musicologists and music critics of India like Pt. Vijay Shankar Mishra, Ravindra Misra and Manjari Sinha also forms part of the festival. The festival will also feature an analytical presentation of Dogri folk music styles by Praduman Singh besides some local musicians of J&K
