| PDS scales , rates , revised | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, JANUARY 07 - The Consumers Affair and Public Distribution Department (CA & PD) revised rates and scales of Public Distribution System (PDS) ration which is distributed among ration card holders.
According to Director CA & PD, Jammu, in respect of Kashmiri migrants, non relief category, scale of ration will be reverse i.e for ration cards upto 4 members 20 kg rice and 10 kg atta besides for ration cards above five members 20 kg rice and 15 kg atta will be issued.
The CA & PD department informed the ration dealers and general public about the distribution of ration to ration card holders upto 4 members 20 kg atta, 10 kg rice besides ration card holders above five members 25 kg atta and 10 kg rice. The additional quota of food grains above the scale shall be available under OMSS category scheme, the scheme of which is being launched shortly and tentative rates of which is rice Rs. 18 kg and atta Rs. 140 per 10 kg pack.
The department also informed the rates of atta under APL category i.e atta lose Rs. 7.65 kg, wheat Rs. 7.10 kg, rice Rs. 9.60 kg and sugar Rs. 13.50 per kg, under BPL category atta lose Rs. 5.25 kg, wheat Rs. 4.75 kg, rice Rs. 6.25 kg and sugar Rs. 13.50 kg besides under AAY atta lose Rs. 2 per kg, wheat Rs. 2 per kg, rice Rs. 3 per kg and sugar Rs. 13.50 per kg.
The ration shall be issued strictly on the fresh photo ration cards.
The general public and rationing beneficiaries having any genuine grievances regarding over charging, less issue, sub standard quality etc can lodge written complain with concerned Assistant Director, TSOs or complain can also be lodged with grievance cell on phone numbers 9797354103, 0191-2502607 and 2109767.
