Jammu, Jan 7: The Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) continuing with it Anti Encroachment drive carried out drive and removed encroachments from the pavements, footpaths etc. it Gumat, Gurudwara Sunder Singh Road, Jewel Chowk, Vinayak Nagar, Bakshi Nagar areas today.
During the drive two truck loads of goods like Baskets, Chairs, Tables, Iron Benches, Channels, Gas Cylinder, Nets, Brusheds, Iron items found placed by the shopkeeper, vendors on pavements, footpaths and pars of roadsides were seized. The team also inspected the shops at Parade and Moti Bazar and seized 60 Kg of Polythene Carry bags from the shop which have been banned by the state govt under J&K Bio-degradable material Act 2007.
